PRAISE FOR REDEMPTION FOR   GERTRUDE

The latest review of Redemption for Gertrude by TK Banner was posted on Goodreads on September 2, 2023. The reviewer, who goes by the name "Bookworm," gave the book a rating of 5 stars and wrote:

"This book was a powerful and thought-provoking read. The author did an excellent job of exploring the themes of anti-Semitism, redemption, and forgiveness. I was particularly impressed by the way she showed how Gertrude's hatred of Jews was not something she was born with, but something that was taught to her by her family and community. The book also showed how difficult it is to overcome the mistakes of the past, even when you truly regret them. Overall, I thought this was a very well-written and important book."

Here is another review from Amazon, posted on September 1, 2023:

"Redemption for Gertrude is a powerful and moving novel that explores the complex issue of redemption. The author does an excellent job of portraying Gertrude's journey from a young woman who is filled with hate to a woman who is finally able to find peace. The book is well-written and thought-provoking, and it will stay with you long after you finish reading it."

BEST FRIENDS

T. K.Banner - Author/Counselor is extremely proud and excited to share her latest work Best Friends A Compass and the True North. The project might have been a lengthy one, but this was one story that really needed to be told. This historical novel spans five decades taking the reader into the Great Depression, the pre-war years with the Issues of child labor and abduction. Travel with the Packhorse Librarians and Lorena Hikock across the Midwest. Prejudice and discrimination is prevalent throughout the book, shedding light on the courageous people who fought against it.

It’s a hard book to put down! Loved it.❤️

This book is one of my favorites. I love that Miss Banner added true historical stories from the depression concerning horrible accounts concerning children being taken from their parents and treating them like they have no feelings and their parents. Children working as young as four. A lot of trafficking going on and a lot of prejudice and it’s still happening. I love that the fiction is tied it into the real happenings and the 2 Friends letters to each other show a true love. I actually cried through some of the stories that were true and some were fiction but the fiction was things that could’ve happened and probably did. This is 100% worth a read. It would also make a wonderful movie and open eyes of millions of people to what happened during the Depression in the war. I give this five stars I would give it six if there was such a thing.

Terrific Historical Novel

I loved this book! T K Banner takes the reader on a fascinating journey through early-to-mid-20th Century Americana. Written with beautiful prose and evocative detail, we re-live the perils and rewards from the Roaring 20's to the post-WWII 1950's through poignant letters and unfolding events. The characters are compassionate and believable in their quests for justice in unjust times, yet they do not become stereotypical "perfect heroines." There are chilling parallels to today's world as "history repeats itself" the Hitler rally in this novel is terrifying, and oh-so. contemporary! Congratulations on an excellent debut novel (I have read three non-fiction/inspirational books by this author, but I believe this is her first novel). I am hoping she publishes another novel soon!Terrific Historical Novel Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2022 I loved this book! Historical novels are my favorite method of appreciating history and Terri drew this reader into some of our country's challenging times and she deftly described the inspirational people who led us forward Her characters' devotion to each other allowed them to accomplish their humanitarian mission.
