a day to practice gratitude

Updated: Nov 30

What things do I have to be thankful for? Isn't this the question posed to us as we prepare to indulge in our Thanksgiving feast? Well, I have to admit, my grateful cup is overflowing. Beyond having my survival needs met, along with my emotional needs, I have an abudance of gifts.

I am halfway through my seventy-sixth chapter of my life, still active and able to participate in so many activities. I have close friends who support me in my endeavors and enrich my life with their presence. My writing is flourishing: "I've Got Class" will be available around the middle of December along with its workbook "You've Got Class."

I have made the decision to move to Mesquite, Nevada. We found a beautful home, fully furnished with a delightful courtyard where I can meditate. So now we are in the process of trying to sell our present home. Am feeling quite nostalgic right now as I will miss so many people in this wonderful community.

Why did Jim and I choose to relocate? It seems as though everything happened so quickly! We had been discussing the cost of living increases in California and then we learned about the beautful town of Mesquite where many people from California were choosing to make it their home. We fell in love with it and made the decision to move there.

I am grateful to be in a loving relationship with my partner, Jim. Yes, it has been a rocky journey to get to this point. There was a time when I was more than ready to call it quits but Jim was adamant about us working it out and thank goodness, he was right.

So on this day, November 28, 2024, I am grateful for everything in my life. I am truly blessed.

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
